FATAL SCOOTER ACCIDENT INVESTIGATION

Investigators are working to establish how the collision occurred and determine whether any contributing factors played a role. The review may include vehicle damage, witness statements, roadway conditions, lighting, and the movements of both vehicles before impact.

Candice Bond, a managing partner at Bond Legal and a national legal analyst, has emphasized the importance of conducting an independent investigation in serious scooter crashes. In cases such as this, a detailed examination of the available evidence can help clarify the sequence of events and identify any potential negligence.

Depending on the evidence, investigators or independent experts may assess visibility, road design, signage, and vehicle positioning. Accident reconstruction specialists may also help establish how the collision unfolded. Any conclusions regarding fault will depend on the findings of the investigation.

WRONGFUL DEATH CLAIM

Depending on the investigation’s findings and applicable South Carolina law, eligible surviving family members of Crystal Nicole Cavazos may be able to explore a wrongful death claim.

Stefano Formica, of counsel at Bond Legal and a national legal analyst, has discussed the importance of protecting families’ legal rights after fatal accidents. In cases such as this, understanding the available insurance coverage, documenting financial losses, and following the official investigation may help families evaluate their legal options.

Potential damages in a qualifying wrongful death case may include funeral and burial expenses, loss of financial support, loss of companionship, and other legally recognized losses. Eligibility and recoverable damages depend on the circumstances and applicable law.

No determination of liability has been established in the reported details. Any potential claim would depend on the evidence and the outcome of the investigation.
