FATAL CRASH INVESTIGATION

The Fulton County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the crash to establish the circumstances that led to the collision. The investigation will help determine the sequence of events and whether any contributing factors played a role.

Candice Bond, a national legal analyst and experienced commercial trucking accident attorney, has highlighted the importance of a thorough, independent investigation in cases involving fatal collisions with large trucks. Such investigations may examine vehicle damage, roadway conditions, witness accounts, driver records and other available evidence to help clarify how a crash occurred.

Commercial truck collisions can involve complex evidence, making timely documentation and expert analysis important when determining potential liability.

WRONGFUL DEATH CLAIM

Depending on the investigation’s findings, Chad Etherton’s eligible surviving family members may have grounds to pursue a wrongful death claim. Potential compensation, where permitted by law and supported by the evidence, may include funeral expenses, loss of financial support, loss of companionship and other legally recoverable damages.

Stefano Formica, Of Counsel at Bond Legal and a national legal analyst, has emphasized the importance of protecting families’ legal rights following a fatal accident. In cases such as this, reviewing the investigation’s findings, identifying potentially responsible parties and examining applicable insurance coverage can help families understand their available legal options.

Any potential claim would depend on the evidence, applicable New York law and the circumstances established through the investigation.
