Amanda Miller dies after collision on Old White Horse Road

GREENVILLE COUNTY, SC (November 2, 2026) A three-vehicle collision on Old White Horse Road near Keeler Mill Road claimed the lives of two people and left three others injured early Monday morning, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.

The crash occurred around 5:30 a.m. in the 9600 block of Old White Horse Road. Investigators reported that a southbound 2010 Chevrolet Camaro was traveling at a high rate of speed when it crossed the centerline and struck an oncoming 2024 Nissan Altima along the driver’s side.

The Camaro then collided head-on with a 2022 Ford F-150 pickup traveling in the opposite direction.

Following the impact, the Chevrolet left the roadway, entered a ditch and overturned. The Ford pickup was pushed off the opposite side of the road and struck a tree.

Amanda Miller, 38, was riding as a passenger in the Ford F-150. She sustained multiple blunt-force injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

A second passenger in the pickup, a 32-year-old man, also died while being transported to a hospital. All three drivers involved in the collision sustained injuries and were transported to Greenville Memorial Hospital for treatment.

Authorities continue investigating the circumstances surrounding the fatal collision.

HEAD-ON CRASH INVESTIGATION

Investigators will likely examine the sequence of impacts and the circumstances that caused the Chevrolet Camaro to cross into the path of oncoming traffic. Factors such as vehicle speed, driver actions, roadway conditions, visibility and possible distractions may be relevant to determining how the collision unfolded.

National legal analyst Candice Bond, Managing Partner at Bond Legal, emphasizes the importance of a comprehensive investigation in serious roadway collisions. In cases such as this, examining physical evidence, vehicle damage, road conditions and available accident reconstruction findings can help establish the events leading up to the impact.

An accident reconstruction specialist may also evaluate the vehicles’ movements, points of impact and final resting positions to help clarify how the three-vehicle collision occurred.

Bond further notes that identifying all contributing circumstances is important when evaluating liability and the damages resulting from a fatal accident. Investigators’ findings can provide essential information for understanding the full circumstances of a collision.

WRONGFUL DEATH CLAIM

Following a fatal motor vehicle accident, eligible surviving family members may have the option of pursuing a wrongful death claim, depending on the findings of the investigation and applicable state law.

In cases such as this, a wrongful death claim may address the financial and personal losses experienced by surviving relatives. Potential damages can include loss of companionship, emotional suffering and other legally recognized losses associated with the death of a family member.

National legal analyst Stefano Formica, Of Counsel at Bond Legal, highlights the importance of protecting families’ legal interests following a sudden and unexpected loss. He emphasizes that understanding the official investigation and keeping track of relevant findings can be important when evaluating potential legal options.

The investigation may help clarify the circumstances surrounding the collision and provide information relevant to any future legal proceedings. Any potential claim would depend on the established facts, applicable law and the circumstances of the individuals involved.

Accident Injury News will continue to follow developments as authorities work to determine the cause of the fatal Greenville County collision.
