ATLANTA, GA, (April 24, 2026) – A 19-year-old man was killed early Friday morning in a fiery crash involving a police pursuit in Atlanta, authorities said.
According to the Georgia State Patrol, Timothy Favors was a passenger in an Infiniti Q50 that crashed shortly before 3 a.m. after an Atlanta Police Department officer attempted to initiate a traffic stop.
Authorities said the driver failed to stop and accelerated northbound before losing control of the vehicle. The Infiniti left the roadway and struck a power pole, eventually coming to rest in the yard of a residence along the 800 block of Boulevard Southeast.
Favors was transported to Grady Memorial Hospital, where he later died from injuries sustained in the crash.
The driver suffered life-threatening injuries. Officials said multiple charges are pending as the investigation continues.
