GROVE TOWNSHIP, Minn. — A central Minnesota intersection crash left a 22-year-old woman hospitalized with life-threatening injuries late Wednesday morning.
The Minnesota State Patrol said a 2001 Pontiac Grand Am was heading west on County Road 186 when it entered the Highway 4 intersection just after noon. A 2018 Kenworth tractor-trailer traveling south on Highway 4 struck the Pontiac in the intersection.
Authorities identified 22-year-old Pijitra Musikapan as one of the car’s passengers. Emergency crews transported her to Sanford Health in Fargo with critical injuries.
The car’s driver, a 23-year-old woman from Melrose, sustained non-life-threatening injuries. Another passenger, a 23-year-old woman whose residence was not listed, also suffered life-threatening wounds.
The 22-year-old male driver of the Kenworth, from Brownton, was not injured and remained at the scene.
The accident remains under investigation by the Minnesota State Patrol.
