SARANAC, N.Y. — New York State Police are investigating a motorcycle crash along Route 3 that seriously injured one person. The collision occurred at around 10 p.m. on June 3.
A 60-year-old man driving a car westbound attempted to turn left into a driveway, troopers said. He failed to yield and struck a motorcycle traveling in the opposite direction. The motorcycle was driven by 27-year-old Olivia Penry of Saranac.
Penry suffered critical injuries and was airlifted to UVM Medical Center for treatment.
Authorities confirmed the car’s driver was cited for failing to yield the right-of-way.
