Motorcycle crash involving pickup injures Brian Bundy in Lewis County

ADNA, WA (April 08, 2026) – A 60-year-old Centralia man was injured Wednesday morning in a motorcycle crash involving a pickup truck on state Route 6 near Adna, according to the Washington State Patrol (WSP).

Authorities identified the injured motorcyclist as Brian D. Bundy. Investigators said Bundy was riding a 2013 BMW F800 motorcycle eastbound near Penning Road around 10:30 a.m.

A westbound 2023 Ford F-350 pickup truck attempted to turn left onto Penning Road and collided with Bundy’s motorcycle.

Following the impact, the motorcycle came to rest in a ditch on the westbound side, while the truck stopped on Penning Road. Bundy was airlifted to MultiCare Tacoma General Hospital with unspecified injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.

CRASH INVESTIGATION NEEDED

Motorcycles provide minimal protection, meaning even low-impact collisions can result in severe injuries or fatalities. Drivers should remain especially alert around motorcyclists—maintaining safe distances, reducing speed near intersections, and double-checking before making turns. Although motorcycles represent only 3% of registered vehicles in the U.S., riders accounted for 15.5% of all traffic deaths and 3.4% of injuries in 2023, according to the National Safety Council (NSC).

Candice Bond, an experienced motorcycle accident attorney, emphasized that an independent investigation is crucial in cases like this to ensure evidence is preserved.

“In addition to reviewing the police report, an attorney will carefully analyze all contributing factors in a crash,” said Bond, Managing Partner at Bond Legal.

“Acting as an advocate, an attorney can help guide victims and their families during this difficult time, ensuring their rights are protected while holding accountable any driver who fails to follow traffic laws.”

PERSONAL INJURY CLAIM

Pending the results of the investigation, Brian D. Bundy may have the right to pursue a personal injury lawsuit. Stefano Formica, of counsel at Bond Legal, stated that the aftermath of a serious injury can be overwhelming, affecting many aspects of life, including employment, finances, and family responsibilities.

“It is important for victims to retain an attorney when filing a personal injury claim, as legal representation helps facilitate negotiations with insurance companies,” Formica said.

“Insurance companies frequently attempt to settle claims quickly for less than they are worth. An experienced attorney will advocate for victims to ensure fair treatment and proper compensation.”
