HALE COUNTY, Ala. — The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Highway Patrol Division is investigating a fatal crash that happened May 17 at 11:20 p.m. on Alabama 60 near the 4-milepost. Officials said a vehicle struck a pedestrian, leaving one person dead.
Authorities identified the deceased as Michael Snipes, 52. Emergency personnel pronounced him dead at the scene.
Snipes was walking when a 2004 Honda Civic driven by an 18-year-old male from Hale County struck him. Officials said the vehicle was traveling on Alabama 60 when it hit Snipes.
The investigation remains ongoing by ALEA.
Additional details of the accident were not immediately available.

PEDESTRIAN ACCIDENT INVESTIGATION
