HOUSTON, Texas — A three-vehicle crash injured one person and resulted in criminal charges. The accident happened at 2 a.m. on May 30 at 1001 Brittmoore Road.
A 22-year-old woman, Meagan Elizabeth Jones, driving a silver Toyota Corolla failed to control speed while traveling north, reports said. Jones struck a black Dodge Charger that was stopped at a sign, pushing it into the intersection. A Chevrolet Captiva, traveling westbound on Old Katy Road, then struck the Charger’s driver, who was standing outside the vehicle.
Emergency responders transported the injured man to a hospital, where he died from his injuries. Authorities confirmed Jones was impaired at the time of the accident and charged her with driving while intoxicated in Harris County Criminal Court.
