COLUMBUS, OH (June 25, 2026) — A 79-year-old man died Thursday after a rear-end collision involving a three-wheeled motorcycle in a parking lot on South High Street, according to Columbus police.
Authorities said the crash occurred at approximately 2:15 p.m. in the 3700 block of South High Street.
Investigators said Kenneth James was riding a 2023 Can-Am Ryder through the parking lot when a Cadillac SRX struck the vehicle from behind. The impact caused James to lose control of the Can-Am and be ejected.
James was transported to Grant Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead about four hours after the collision.
Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the fatal crash.
