WHITEFIELD TOWNSHIP, Minn. — Two drivers sustained non-life-threatening injuries on June 28 when their vehicles collided in Kandiyohi County, the Minnesota State Patrol reported.
Jonathan Lee Garza, 19, of Renville drove a 2014 Dodge Journey east on County Road 3 around 1:15 p.m. Justine Kay Hutchins, 26, of Walker drove a 2010 Chevy Traverse southbound on County Road 5. The vehicles collided in the intersection.
Emergency crews transported Garza to North Memorial Hospital. They took an 18-year-old female passenger from Venice, Florida, to Centra Care in Willmar. Medical personnel transported Hutchins to CentraCare Willmar Hospital and took a 53-year-old female passenger from Fergus Falls to St. Cloud Hospital.
Investigators determined alcohol played no role for three of the four people involved.
The Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Office, Raymond Fire and Ambulance, CentraCare, and LifeLink responded to the scene.
The Minnesota State Patrol continues investigating the cause of the accident.
