MADISON COUNTY, Tenn. — A Greyhound bus accident occurred on May 26 on Highway 70, resulting in multiple injuries and fatalities.
The accident happened at around 6:20 p.m., the Tennessee Highway Patrol reported.
Troopers said a 2013 Prevost bus traveling from Memphis to Nashville crashed into a 2008 Chevrolet Silverado pickup.
Glen Young Jr., age 60, was a passenger on the Greyhound when the accident happened. Emergency responders arrived and confirmed he suffered fatal injuries at the scene. The driver of the Chevrolet, a 56-year-old Tennessee man, also died in the accident.
Twenty-seven people were transported to area hospitals for treatment of unspecified injuries.
