CLAREMONT, Calif. — A man was killed in a multi-vehicle crash when a tractor-trailer struck him along the San Bernardino Freeway Saturday morning.
Faridun Abduvakhobov, age 41, died from multiple blunt traumatic injuries in the accident, the Medical Examiner’s office reported on Sunday. His city of residence was not disclosed.
The crash occurred shortly after 5 a.m. on the eastbound freeway just west of S. Indian Hill Boulevard, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A preliminary investigation determined Abduvakhobov was a passenger in a gray Toyota Camry. The car was involved in a collision and blocking the No. 3 eastbound lane. Abduvakhobov exited with the driver before a tractor-trailer in the No. 3 lane crashed into the car.
The trailer hit Abduvakhobov, throwing him to the right road shoulder where he died.
