FRANKLIN, Ohio — State troopers are investigating a fatal two-vehicle accident on June 24 that happened in Warren County.
The crash occurred at around 5:12 p.m. at the intersection of Ohio 123 and the Interstate 75 exit ramp, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
A tractor-trailer, driven by a 41-year-old Michigan man, was exiting the highway and turning onto Ohio 123 when the vehicles collided. Elijah Berman, 17, of Dayton, was operating a motorcycle southbound and collided with the side of the truck.
Paramedics transported Berman to Atrium Medical Center. He died later that evening from his injuries. The truck driver was also hospitalized, though his injuries were not considered life-threatening.
Berman was a student at Chaminade Julienne and had recently accepted an offer to play football at Eastern Michigan University.
