Carlos Molinar Crashes Pickup Into El Paso Home, Woman Hurt

EL PASO, TX, January 05, 2026 — An elderly woman was injured Monday evening after a pickup truck crashed into a home in Northeast El Paso, authorities said.

Police reported the incident occurred shortly after 6:30 p.m. near Sun Valley and Sharp Drive. A 2024 blue Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck driven by 67-year-old Carlos Molinar crashed through a bedroom of a residence near McCombs Street, causing extensive damage.

Both Molinar and the homeowner were transported to a hospital with injuries that were not immediately specified. The homeowner was also treated at the scene for abrasions.

Police have not yet announced whether charges will be filed. The investigation remains ongoing.

CRASH INVESTIGATION NEEDED

Each year, millions of people are injured in traffic collisions across the United States, many of which result in long-term or life-altering consequences. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, approximately 2.2 million individuals were injured in motor vehicle accidents nationwide in 2023.

As authorities continue to evaluate the cause and liability of this crash, Candice Bond, an experienced accident attorney and Managing Partner of Bond Legal, emphasized the importance of an independent investigation conducted by qualified legal counsel.

“Beyond the thorough work performed by law enforcement, an attorney can re-interview key witnesses, review surveillance footage from the crash scene, and obtain phone and text records of the party believed to be responsible,” said Bond, a national analyst for Accident Injury News.

“Because evidence can be lost or compromised over time, it is critical that victims ensure all available information is reviewed promptly and efficiently.”

PERSONAL INJURY CLAIM

Pending the outcome of the investigation, the individual injured in the crash may have the right to pursue a personal injury lawsuit.

“The emotional and financial stress following a serious injury can be overwhelming and may affect every aspect of a victim’s life, including family relationships, employment, finances, and overall quality of life,” said Stefano Formica, Of Counsel with Bond Legal.

“Retaining an attorney is essential when filing a personal injury claim, as legal counsel can manage negotiations with insurance companies on a victim’s behalf,” Formica added.

“Insurance carriers often attempt to resolve claims quickly for far less than their true value. An attorney will vigorously advocate to ensure injured clients are treated fairly and compensated appropriately.”
