HAMBURG, Ark. — The Arkansas State Police are investigating a fatal crash that happened May 10 at 7 p.m. at U.S. 82 and U.S. 425. Officials said multiple vehicles were involved.
Authorities identified the deceased as Brylei Griffith, 14. Emergency personnel transported her to Arkansas Children’s Hospital, where she later died.
Griffith rode as a passenger in a 2025 Kia K5 when a 2006 Volvo tractor-trailer struck another vehicle and crossed into her lane. The tractor-trailer first hit a 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup attempting a left turn before crashing into the Kia.
Officials confirmed the drivers of both passenger vehicles suffered injuries and were taken to Ashley County Medical Center. The tractor-trailer driver was uninjured.
Authorities continue to investigate the cause of the accident.
