CRASH INVESTIGATION NEEDED

The popularity of e-scooters has grown rapidly, with many riders using them for both commuting and recreation.

During this period, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission has reported an increase in e-scooter-related fatalities, with nearly 200 deaths recorded between 2017 and 2023. Such incidents often occur when drivers are speeding, distracted, or misjudge the speed or distance of a scooter.

Candice Bond, an experienced e-scooter accident attorney, stated that in cases like this, it is critical to conduct an independent investigation promptly to protect the rights of the victim’s family.

“Having the appropriate resources is vital when investigating these types of incidents and proving negligence,” said Bond, Managing Partner of Bond Legal and a national analyst with Accident Injury News. “Road conditions, visibility of signage, and lighting must all be carefully evaluated. Accident reconstruction experts and other specialists are often used to determine what happened and to help protect the legal rights and best interests of grieving families.”

WRONGFUL DEATH CLAIM

The family members of Bryan Pesotski may be entitled to pursue a wrongful death claim. Families of victims may seek compensation for loss of companionship, emotional suffering, and other damages following a tragic accident.

“We understand the hardships families face after losing a loved one, and ensuring their rights are protected is crucial,” said Stefano Formica, Of Counsel with Bond Legal. “A wrongful death lawyer will stay informed on the investigation and help safeguard the family’s best interests. Relatives may seek damages for loss of companionship, pain and suffering, and emotional distress following a catastrophic accident.”
