DENVER — Authorities are searching for the suspect in a scooter accident that occurred on May 27 at night on Larimer Street near 26th Avenue.
Ana Robles was riding a scooter on a bike path with her boyfriend when a car blocked their path. She rode around the vehicle and was struck head-on by a motorcyclist performing a wheelie.
She was hit by the motorcycle’s wheel, suffering severe injuries. Emergency responders arrived and transported her to Denver Health. The motorcyclist fled from the scene.
Paramedics confirmed she had a heart attack on the way to the hospital. Officials later reported she showed signs of recovery.
Denver Police continue searching for the motorcyclist involved. Authorities believe the suspect was riding a black dirt bike motorcycle with possible left-side damage.
