DALLAS, TX — October 6, 2026 Dallas Police Department investigators are examining a three-vehicle hit-and-run collision that claimed the lives of two young people near White Rock Lake. The crash occurred as a Toyota Prius driven by 23-year-old Julian Harris pulled onto Garland Road from Magellan Circle, close to the Dallas Arboretum. An oncoming vehicle struck the Prius on the side. The incident also involved a Hyundai Elantra and a third vehicle that left the scene before officers arrived.
Harris was declared dead at the scene. His passenger, 22-year-old Madison Duren, was transported to a hospital where she later died. Occupants of the Elantra—a woman and two children ages 1 and 3, both properly secured in car seats—sustained injuries but survived. Authorities have made no arrests and have not released details about the fleeing vehicle or whether speed played a role.
