CHILTON COUNTY, Ala. — The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency is investigating a deadly two-vehicle crash that happened on June 28 along U.S. Highway 31.
Troopers said the crash happened around 2:05 p.m. near milepost 237, about two miles north of Jemison.
Zackary Moore, age 38, of Thorsby, was driving a 2009 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck that collided head-on with another another pickup.
Emergency responders transported Moore to UAB Hospital with unspecified injuries sustained in the collision. The other driver, a 34-year-old man from Calera, was behind the wheel of a 1999 Chevrolet Silverado and died at the scene.
Authorities said neither man wore a seat belt at the time of the crash. Investigators have not released additional details.
