CHULA VISTA, CA, (April 01, 2026) – A 35-year-old motorcyclist was injured in a hit-and-run crash on April 1 in Chula Vista, according to police.

Zachary Morales was riding his motorcycle when a vehicle struck him at about 7:28 p.m. at the intersection of Olympic Parkway and Heritage Road. The impact caused Morales to be thrown from his motorcycle.

Authorities said Morales sustained a broken leg and is expected to face a lengthy recovery. The driver involved in the crash fled the scene and has not yet been identified.
