FORT WORTH, Texas, Nov. 2 — A wrong-way crash on Interstate 30 left one person dead and two others seriously injured Saturday evening, according to the Fort Worth Police Department.
The collision occurred around 7:30 p.m. near Henderson Street when a vehicle traveling westbound in the wrong direction struck another vehicle head-on. Harrison Galiwango, 22, suffered serious injuries, and 26-year-old Shaterrika Miller was also critically injured.
A 22-year-old Fort Worth woman was ejected through the rear windshield and thrown several feet. She was hospitalized but removed from life support two days later.
Police said the wrong-way vehicle was driven by a 45-year-old Alabama resident. He has been charged with intoxication assault with a deadly weapon and was released on bond Tuesday under conditions that require an ignition interlock device should he drive again.
