HARNETT, NC, (April 28, 2026) – A 62-year-old man from Lillington died Tuesday night following a three-vehicle collision in Harnett County that also left at least six others injured.
According to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at approximately 9 p.m. at the intersection of U.S. 421 and Willie Cameron Road.
Investigators said William Alan Henderson was driving a northbound Jeep and attempted to make a left turn across southbound traffic. During the maneuver, a southbound Hyundai collided with the Jeep, causing it to be pushed into a northbound Tesla.
Harnett County EMS transported Henderson to a nearby hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
Authorities reported that at least six other individuals involved in the crash were taken to area hospitals with injuries ranging from minor to serious.
The North Carolina State Highway Patrol continues to investigate the crash. Officials have not yet released details regarding possible charges or additional contributing factors.
