CRASH INVESTIGATION NEEDED

Even when drivers believe they are capable of operating a vehicle, alcohol or drugs can significantly impair judgment, reaction time, and coordination, greatly increasing the risk of a serious crash.

Over the decade from 2012 to 2021, an average of about 10,850 people died annually in alcohol-impaired driving crashes, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).

A full independent investigation is typically required to evaluate all contributing factors, including toxicology results and other evidence related to impairment.

Pending the results of the investigation, the family members of Wendy Rivera Gonzalez may have the right to pursue a wrongful death claim for damages including medical and funeral expenses, loss of companionship, emotional suffering, and related losses.
