ODESSA, TX (May 23, 2026) — An 18-year-old woman, Victoria Rosales, was killed early Saturday morning in a two-vehicle crash in West Odessa, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
Investigators said Rosales was a passenger in a Volkswagen Polo traveling westbound on 16th Street around 5:10 a.m. when a Chevrolet Silverado heading north on Tripp Avenue failed to stop at an intersection and struck the right side of the vehicle.
The impact caused both vehicles to be pushed into the southwest corner of the intersection, where they collided with a fence and a utility box.
Rosales, who was wearing a seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene. The 39-year-old driver of the Volkswagen Polo also died at the scene. Both occupants were from Mexico.
The driver of the Chevrolet Silverado sustained minor injuries and was transported to Medical Center Hospital in Odessa for treatment.
Authorities said the crash remains under investigation, with criminal charges pending pending toxicology results.
