Union Township Crash Kills Kevin Fuller on State Route 125: OSHP

UNION TOWNSHIP, OH, (April 21, 2026) — A pedestrian was killed Tuesday evening after being struck by a vehicle in Union Township, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP).

Authorities said the crash occurred at approximately 6:22 p.m. along State Route 125 when Kevin Fuller, 36, of Lafayette, Arkansas, was working in the roadway’s two-way left-turn lane performing survey duties.

Investigators reported that a 19-year-old driving a Tesla Model Y struck Fuller while traveling on the roadway.

Fuller sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

OSHP confirmed that the crash remains under active investigation as officials work to determine all contributing factors.

No additional details have been released.

FATAL PEDESTRIAN ACCIDENT INVESTIGATION

Pedestrian fatalities in Ohio have shown a concerning trend in recent years, with roadway workers and individuals in or near traffic lanes facing heightened risk. According to the Ohio Department of Transportation, pedestrian deaths have steadily increased since 2009, reaching 150 fatalities in 2023.

Crashes involving pedestrians often stem from multiple contributing factors, including driver inattention, speeding, failure to observe roadway workers, and limited visibility conditions. Candice Bond, an experienced pedestrian accident attorney, said that cases like this require a thorough and independent investigation to ensure all facts are properly examined.

“Having the proper resources is extremely important to investigate a pedestrian accident case and prove negligence,” said Bond, Managing Partner of Bond Legal and national analyst with Accident Injury News. “Road conditions, signage visibility, and roadway lighting are all potential contributing factors that must be carefully reviewed. These steps are essential to ensure that families who have suffered a loss receive fair consideration and justice.”

WRONGFUL DEATH CLAIM

The family members of Kevin Fuller may be entitled to pursue a wrongful death claim arising from this incident. Such claims may include compensation for funeral expenses, loss of companionship, emotional distress, and other damages resulting from the fatal crash.

“We understand just what families are forced to go through, and having their rights protected is vital,” said Stefano Formica, Of Counsel with Bond Legal.

He added, “A wrongful death lawyer will stay updated on the official investigation and help ensure that the family’s best interests are protected. Relatives of wrongful death victims may pursue damages for the emotional and financial impact caused by such a tragic loss.”
