ALBERTVILLE, MN, (April 15, 2026) — Two young drivers were seriously injured following a head-on collision Wednesday evening in Albertville, according to the Wright County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities said the crash occurred at approximately 6:15 p.m. on Jason Avenue near Kahl Avenue Northeast. A Ford Fusion driven by 20-year-old Tyler Brown of Otsego was traveling westbound when it collided with an eastbound Audi coupe operated by 17-year-old Owen Haugo of St. Michael.
The force of the impact sent both vehicles off the roadway. Emergency responders had to extricate Brown from his vehicle before transporting him to North Memorial Health – Robbinsdale Hospital for treatment. Haugo sustained critical injuries and was airlifted to Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis, where he remains in intensive care.
Officials noted that both individuals are expected to face lengthy recoveries. The crash site is located not far from St. Michael-Albertville High School.
The incident remains under investigation.
