Timothy Anderson injured in Milaca motorcycle crash on Hwy 23

MILACA, MN (June 26, 2026) — A 40-year-old Shoreview man was hospitalized Friday afternoon after a collision involving a motorcycle and a passenger vehicle in Milaca, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

The crash occurred at approximately 4:57 p.m. on Highway 23 at the intersection with 10th Avenue. Investigators said Timothy Michael Anderson was riding a 2018 Harley-Davidson FLHX motorcycle eastbound on Highway 23 when a 2018 Honda CR-V, which had stopped at the intersection, collided with the motorcycle.

Anderson sustained injuries in the crash and was transported to North Memorial Hospital for treatment.

The Minnesota State Patrol said no other injuries were reported. Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision.

MOTORCYCLE CRASH INVESTIGATION

This crash highlights the serious risks motorcyclists face every day on the nation’s roadways. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, 83,000 motorcyclists were injured in traffic crashes in 2021, an increase of about 5 percent compared to the previous year.

“Motorcyclists are among the most vulnerable road users, and a variety of factors can contribute to serious or fatal crashes,” said Bond, Managing Partner at Bond Legal.

“Driver distraction, failure to notice motorcycles, blind spots, and inexperience frequently play a role in these collisions. Accident reconstruction specialists and motorcycle manufacturing experts are often needed to help determine exactly how a crash occurred,” Bond, an experienced motorcycle accident attorney, added.

“In addition to reviewing the police report, an attorney will examine all factors that may have contributed to the collision,” said Bond. “Your lawyer has the resources to retain expert witnesses, review driver histories, identify witnesses, and analyze available insurance coverage. Serving as an advocate, an attorney can compassionately guide injured victims and their families through the legal process while protecting their rights and helping ensure accountability when traffic laws are violated.”

PERSONAL INJURY CLAIM

Pending an investigation, Timothy Anderson may have the right to pursue a personal injury lawsuit. Stefano Formica, of counsel at Bond Legal, noted that the physical, emotional, and financial burdens resulting from an injury can affect every aspect of a person’s life, including family, employment, finances, and overall well-being.

“It is important for injured victims to retain an attorney when pursuing a personal injury claim, as legal counsel can negotiate with insurance companies on behalf of a client,” Formica said.

“Insurance companies frequently attempt to persuade victims to accept quick settlements that may be significantly lower than what a claim is truly worth. An attorney will work diligently to protect a client’s interests, ensure fair treatment, and seek the compensation they deserve.”
