HOSPERS, IA, (April 09, 2026) – Tiffanie Tatsumi, 36, of Sheldon, was injured Thursday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash at an intersection in Hospers, according to the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities said the collision occurred around 4:58 p.m. at Iowa 60 and Hospers Drive North. A 27-year-old driver in a Chevrolet Malibu attempted to make a left turn onto the highway after stopping at a stop sign but entered the path of a southbound Ford Taurus driven by Tatsumi.
The vehicles collided, resulting in injuries to Tatsumi. Emergency responders provided aid at the scene before transporting her to Sanford Sheldon Medical Center for further treatment.
The driver of the Chevrolet was cited for failure to yield the right-of-way. Multiple agencies assisted at the scene. The investigation remains ongoing.
