LIVONIA, MI – Police identified a mother and her twin children involved in a fatal pedestrian crash Sunday night.
The Livonia Police Department announced Tuesday that Tia Robinson and her 3-year-old twins suffered serious injuries. The family walked through the intersection of Merriman Road and Lyndon Street at around 10:46 p.m. when a vehicle struck them.
Robinson remains in critical condition at a local hospital. Her 3-year-old daughter also fights for her life in critical condition. The family’s 3-year-old son, Khalil, died from his injuries at the hospital. Her surviving daughter requires ongoing critical care treatment.
A 47-year-old Mount Morris woman drove the vehicle that hit the Robinson family. The driver fled the scene immediately after the crash. Police later arrested the suspect.
