Theodora Millerline hurt after SUV struck pedestrian and vehicle in Cabot

CABOT, AR (May 27, 2026) – A three-vehicle crash Wednesday afternoon in Cabot left one man dead and sent a local woman to the hospital, according to the Cabot Police Department.

Authorities identified the injured driver as Theodora Millerline, 73, of Cabot. Police said Millerline was operating a westbound 2016 Kia Sorento when it struck a stationary vehicle and a pedestrian who had just exited that vehicle following an earlier collision.

The incident occurred shortly before 2:30 p.m. on Arkansas 89. Investigators said the crash began when the driver of a 2015 Subaru Forester allegedly failed to yield while making a left turn and collided with a westbound 2012 Chevrolet Cruze.

The impact caused the Chevrolet to come to a stop in the roadway. The 72-year-old driver then exited the vehicle before being struck by Millerline’s SUV along with the disabled car.

Emergency responders pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene. Millerline suffered injuries in the collision and was transported by ambulance to an area hospital for treatment.

The Cabot Police Department continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the fatal crash.

PEDESTRIAN ACCIDENT INVESTIGATION

Every year, millions are injured in U.S. traffic crashes—many with life-altering consequences. Approximately 2.44 million were injured in motor vehicle accidents in 2023 across the country, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

While the cause and liability of the crash remain under investigation, Candice Bond, an experienced accident attorney and Managing Partner of Bond Legal, said that an independent investigation by a qualified attorney is often essential.

“In addition to the diligent work of law enforcement, an attorney can re-interview important witnesses, analyze any surveillance video from the scene of the crash, and obtain phone and texting records of the liable party,” said Bond, a national analyst for Accident Injury News.

“Time is of the essence in cases such as this, and the victim’s family must ensure that evidence is reviewed efficiently,” said Bond.

PERSONAL INJURY CLAIM

Pending the results of the investigation, a victim may have the right to pursue a personal injury lawsuit. Stefano Formica, Of Counsel with Bond Legal, noted that the stress and uncertainty following a serious injury can be overwhelming, affecting family life, employment, finances, and overall well-being.

“It is vital for victims to hire an attorney when filing a personal injury claim, which allows them to negotiate with an insurance company on behalf of a client,” Formica added.

“Insurance companies often try to pressure victims to settle for a quick payout for far less than the case is worth. However, an attorney will vigorously advocate for their client to ensure that they are treated with respect and compensated fairly.”
