FATAL PEDESTRIAN CRASH INVESTIGATION NEEDED

Despite protections provided under traffic laws, pedestrians remain among the most vulnerable individuals on roadways throughout the country. Every day, pedestrians like Terrence Covington are seriously injured or killed in crashes involving distracted, impaired, or negligent drivers.

According to the Governors Highway Safety Association (GHSA), at least 7,508 pedestrians were killed in roadway crashes across the United States in 2022. The report included data from every state except Oklahoma, which did not participate in the study.
