Taylor Miller hurt after Umatilla County motorcycle collision

UMATILLA, OR, (September 23, 2026) – A 33-year-old motorcyclist was seriously injured Wednesday morning after a collision with a passenger vehicle in Umatilla County.

According to the Oregon State Police (OSP), Taylor R. Miller, of Hermiston, was riding a motorcycle northbound on Highway 395 at approximately 7:52 a.m.

At the same time, a Kia was attempting to make a left turn into a business driveway near Punkin Center Road when it collided with Miller’s motorcycle.

Miller suffered serious injuries and was transported to Good Shepherd Health Care System for treatment.

No other injuries were reported.

Additional details were not initially released.

MOTORCYCLE CRASH INVESTIGATION

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, 83,000 motorcyclists were injured in crashes in 2021, an increase of approximately 5 percent from the previous year.

“Motorcycle riders are arguably the most vulnerable motorists on the roadways, given the fact that there are no airbags or sturdy windows to protect them from an impact,” said Candice Bond, Managing Partner of Bond Legal.

“In addition to a police report, an attorney will carefully review what may have contributed to the crash,” said Bond, an experienced motorcycle accident attorney. “Your lawyer has the resources to hire expert witnesses, conduct driver background checks, locate witnesses to the crash and review applicable insurance coverage. Serving as an advocate, an attorney can help compassionately guide the heartbroken family of a victim during this difficult time, protecting their legal rights while ensuring that a driver is held accountable after disobeying traffic laws.”

PERSONAL INJURY CLAIM

Taylor Miller may have the right to pursue personal injury claims pending an investigation.

Stefano Formica, of counsel at Bond Legal, said, “Injured victims involved in a collision often seek a personal injury claim to help cover medical bills, future medical care, loss of income, emotional trauma, and pain and suffering.”

“Insurance companies can be notoriously unconcerned with the mounting costs that an injured party may accrue. An attorney can help. We protect the victims of these tragedies daily, forcing the insurance companies to pay for their mistakes,” he added.
