FATAL PEDESTRIAN CRASH INVESTIGATION

Pedestrian fatalities have risen sharply in Colorado, with CDOT reporting 127 deaths in 2025 alone—one of the highest totals in recent years.

Experts note that crashes like these often involve multiple contributing factors, including driver inattention, speeding, and impaired driving.

Candice Bond, Managing Partner of Bond Legal, highlighted the importance of a thorough and independent investigation in such cases to identify all contributing elements and ensure accountability. She also noted that examining road conditions and environmental factors plays a key role in determining liability. Bond serves as a national analyst with Accident Injury News.

WRONGFUL DEATH CLAIM

The family members of Susan Riener may be entitled to a wrongful death claim. Family members of wrongful death victims may seek damages for loss of companionship, pain, suffering, and emotional distress following a tragic or catastrophic accident.

“The emotional toll of losing a loved one in such circumstances can be overwhelming,” said Stefano Formica, Of Counsel with Bond Legal.

“It is important that families have their rights protected, and a wrongful death lawyer can help guide them through the legal process while staying informed about the ongoing investigation.”
