FATAL PEDESTRIAN ACCIDENT INVESTIGATION

More than 150 pedestrians were killed in Washington in 2023, accounting for 19% of all traffic-related fatalities.

An additional 474 individuals suffered serious injuries. Pedestrian crashes often involve contributing factors such as speeding, distracted driving, and impaired driving. Candice Bond, an experienced pedestrian accident attorney, emphasized that independent investigation in such cases is essential to protect the rights of the victim’s family.

“Access to proper resources is critical when investigating pedestrian crash cases and establishing negligence,” said Bond, Managing Partner of Bond Legal and a national analyst with Accident Injury News. “Road conditions, signage visibility, and lighting conditions are all potential contributing factors that must be carefully examined. These steps are necessary to help families pursue justice and fair compensation.”

WRONGFUL DEATH CLAIM

The family of Steven Franks may have the right to pursue a wrongful death claim. Families in such cases may seek damages for loss of companionship, emotional distress, pain and suffering, and other losses resulting from a fatal accident.

“We understand the profound impact families experience in these situations, and protecting their rights is essential,” said Stefano Formica, Of Counsel with Bond Legal. “A wrongful death attorney will monitor the official investigation and ensure the family’s interests are fully represented. Relatives may be entitled to compensation for emotional and financial losses following a tragic accident.”
