WIMBERLEY, TX, (April 30, 2026) – Stacy Hedrick was tragically killed Thursday night in a small plane crash near Wimberley in Hays County.
According to the Hays County Homeland Security & Emergency Management, Hedrick was a passenger aboard a Cessna 421C that went down at approximately 11:05 p.m. in the 200 block of Round Rock Road. Authorities said the aircraft had departed from Amarillo about two hours earlier and was en route to New Braunfels National Airport.
Officials confirmed that at least one pilot in the area reported receiving a distress signal from the aircraft’s emergency locator transmitter. Air traffic control subsequently contacted 911. Hedrick and four other occupants were killed in the crash.
The victims were reportedly traveling to participate in a pickleball tournament and were members of the Amarillo Pickleball Club. Investigators with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) are working to determine the cause of the crash.
