HIT-AND-RUN INVESTIGATION NEEDED

Leaving the scene of an accident is a crime, and data shows that roughly 11 percent of all crashes involve a hit-and-run driver. In many such cases, the at-fault motorist attempts to escape responsibility by fleeing; however, once identified, they will face serious charges for their actions.

In situations like this, an independent investigation is essential. Candice Bond, an experienced hit-and-run accident attorney, said it is crucial for a skilled legal team to promptly examine the circumstances to protect a victim’s rights.

“Having the proper resources is extremely important when investigating a hit-and-run accident and establishing negligence,” said Bond, Managing Partner of Bond Legal. “Factors such as road conditions, lighting, traffic control devices, and potential witness statements must all be carefully evaluated. These steps help ensure that someone harmed by a hit-and-run driver receives the justice and compensation they deserve.”

WRONGFUL DEATH CLAIM

Pending the investigation, the family of Shelby Mcghee Jr. may be entitled to pursue a wrongful death claim. Families of victims in cases like this may seek compensation for loss of companionship, emotional suffering, and other damages following a tragic incident.

“The grief and hardship can be extremely overwhelming for families who lose a loved one in an accident,” said Candice Bond, Managing Partner of Bond Legal. “Ensuring that their rights are protected is essential. A wrongful death attorney will follow the official investigation closely and work to safeguard the family’s best interests throughout the process.”
