YPSILANTI TOWNSHIP, Mich. — Michigan State Police are searching for the suspect in a fatal hit-and-run crash that occurred May 25 on Interstate 94 near the U.S. 12 bypass. The accident happened at 2:25 a.m.
Emergency responders had been called for reports of a naked man headed east in the westbound lane of I-94. Shawn Mullin was walking along the highway when a black sedan struck him. The driver fled before authorities could arrive.
Huron Valley Ambulance personnel witnessed the accident but were unable to reach Mullin before the impact.
Michigan State Police said they found part of the suspect vehicle but have not yet identified the driver.
MSP continues to investigate the incident.
