MILO, NY, (April 12, 2026) – Three people were injured early Sunday morning in a single-vehicle crash in the Town of Milo, according to the Yates County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies said a 65-year-old driver was traveling near the intersection of Havens Corners Road and Thistle Street at approximately 12:22 a.m. when she failed to stop at a posted stop sign. The vehicle subsequently left the roadway and struck an embankment.
The crash resulted in non-life-threatening injuries to the driver and two passengers, including 58-year-old Sandra Shriver and a 63-year-old man. All occupants are residents of Penn Yan.
Emergency crews transported the injured individuals to area hospitals for treatment. The driver was issued a citation for failing to stop at a stop sign. The investigation remains ongoing.
