HESPERIA, CA, (June 29, 2026) — A 43-year-old man was killed in a pedestrian accident on June 29 in Hesperia.
The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department identified the victim as Eric Jenkins. The incident occurred at about 9:50 p.m. at Main Street and Hesperia Lane. Jenkins was pronounced dead at the scene.
The accident remains under investigation.
According to the California Office of Traffic Safety, the state’s pedestrian fatality rate is nearly 25% higher than the national average.
