COURTLAND TOWNSHIP, Mich. — Two drivers died after a two-vehicle accident occurred June 24 at 13 Mile Road and Courtland Drive.
The crash involved a pickup truck and a sedan, both of which carried only their respective drivers at the time. Both vehicles entered the intersection around 8 a.m. and collided near the center of the roadway.
Sam Deems, 25, of Ravenna, was driving the pickup and died at the scene, according to the Kent County Sheriff’s Office. The second driver, a 72-year-old woman from Cedar Springs, also died in the accident.
Authorities have not said what caused the crash, but the investigation remains open.
