MAD RIVER TOWNSHIP, Ohio — One person died and two others sustained injuries after a three-vehicle crash on Interstate 675 in Clark County on Tuesday.
Around 11:20 a.m., troopers from the Springfield Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol responded to the crash in Mad River Township. Sadaf Tariq Shaikh, 50, of Fairborn, was driving a Toyota SUV from Interstate 70 onto I-675 when she lost control.
A Nissan SUV struck Shaikh’s Toyota while it was losing control. The Toyota then went off the left side of the roadway into a ditch. The Nissan SUV subsequently hit a Volkswagen SUV.
Shaikh was transported to Miami Valley Hospital with serious injuries where she later died.
Two 37-year-old Springfield men from the Nissan were taken to Soin Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. A 51-year-old Springfield woman driving the Volkswagen was not hurt.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating.
