BROWN COUNTY, Ohio— A three-vehicle accident early April 8 near Mount Orab left one person dead and two others seriously injured, authorities reported.
Officials identified Richard Lowery, a 53-year-old resident of Cincinnati, as one of the individuals seriously injured in the accident. Emergency responders transported him to a local hospital for treatment.
A 34-year-old Defiance resident, a passenger in the first vehicle, also suffered serious injuries and was transported to a hospital. The driver of the Jeep was not injured.
Ohio State Highway Patrol stated that the accident happened when a vehicle driven by a 50-year-old Mount Orab resident struck Lowery’s Chevrolet Camaro, which was stopped at the intersection of Eastwood Road and Ohio 32. The impact pushed Lowery’s vehicle into the intersection, where it was struck by a Jeep Wrangler.
The Mount Orab resident died in the wreck.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol continues to investigate the accident.
