CHEROKEE, TX, (May 15, 2026) – A Mount Enterprise man was killed Friday afternoon in a head-on collision in Cherokee County, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
Authorities said the crash occurred just before 4 p.m. on Highway 110 near the New Summerfield city limits when a northbound 2012 Chevrolet SUV attempted to pass in a no-passing zone and collided head-on with a southbound 2003 Buick LeSabre driven by Rantrovius Simon.
Officials confirmed that both Simon and the driver of the SUV died from injuries sustained in the crash. No additional details have been released as the investigation continues.
