WASHINGTON, GA, (March 28, 2026) — A 61-year-old pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run crash Saturday night in Washington County, authorities said.
According to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, Randall Waters was struck shortly before 9 p.m. by a white Ford Focus traveling westbound in the 500 block of Waco Mill Road.
Investigators said the vehicle crossed the dividing line before hitting Waters. After the impact, the car crashed into a parked semi-trailer, and the driver fled the scene on foot.
Waters was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency responders.
The suspect, believed to be a 22-year-old man, remains at large and is wanted for vehicular homicide, hit and run, speeding, and failure to maintain lane.
