TAYLOR, Texas — The Taylor Police Department is investigating a pedestrian crash on June 5 that that claimed the life of a woman. The crash happened at 4:03 p.m. on June 5.
Police said that just after 4 p.m., a black 2013 Subaru entered the intersection in the 3700 block of N. Main Street and failed to yield right-of-way. The vehicle struck the pedestrian as she walked in the crosswalk.
Ramona Pavlas, 59, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities said the driver was a 22-year-old male resident of Jarrell.
Police have not released additional details. It was not immediately clear if the driver is facing charges.
Taylor Police said this was Taylor’s first fatal accident of 2025.
