RICHARDSON, TX (March 24, 2026) – Phil Balli was killed in a bicycle accident on March 24 at Custer Parkway and Renner Road, Richardson police reported.
Balli, an active member of local cycling clubs, was riding with other cyclists when he was struck by a vehicle. Authorities have not released the driver’s identity or whether charges will be filed. The accident remains under investigation.
Bicyclists remain vulnerable despite traffic laws. Each year about 1,000 die in vehicle crashes, CDC reports.
