SPARTANBURG, SC (March 30, 2026) – One person was injured Tuesday morning in a collision involving a van and tractor-trailer in Spartanburg County.
The van, driven by Paulino Cortes Olea, attempted to cross Parris Bridge Road in Chesnee when it struck the tractor-trailer at approximately 6:44 a.m. The van passenger was hospitalized for treatment. Olea died in the crash, and the semi-truck driver was uninjured. Authorities continue to investigate.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol (SCHP) will release a comprehensive report once its investigation into the crash, which left a passenger injured, is complete.
