SAN JOSE, CA, (April 19, 2026) – A 63-year-old man was killed Sunday afternoon in a multi-vehicle collision on State Highway 87 in San Jose, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).
The victim, identified as San Jose resident Paul Adame, was driving a 2021 Toyota Sienna northbound on Highway 87 just south of Interstate 280 shortly after 3 p.m. when a 2003 Nissan Frontier rear-ended his vehicle.

Adame, a beloved baseball coach who worked for the Santa Clara Unified School District and was active with Briarwood Little League, tragically succumbed to injuries sustained in the crash.
