DOUGLAS, GA, (March 28, 2026) – A high-speed rollover crash early Saturday morning in Douglas County claimed the life of 18-year-old Patience Price and left another passenger seriously injured.
According to the Georgia State Patrol, the crash occurred on Chapel Hill Road near Rosemont Drive when a Mercedes-Benz traveling at an excessive speed failed to negotiate a curve and veered off the roadway. The vehicle struck an embankment, became airborne, and overturned multiple times.
Price, who was seated in the front of the vehicle, was ejected during the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene by medical personnel.
A rear-seat passenger sustained serious injuries and was transported to Grady Memorial Hospital. The driver suffered minor visible injuries and showed no signs of impairment. The crash remains under investigation by the Georgia State Patrol’s Specialized Collision Reconstruction Team.
